Doxa was founded by Georges Ducommun, of Le Locle, Switzerland, in 1889. The original company failed in 1980, but they've been recently revived.
You can view Doxa does have some collector interest, particularly for their SUB-300T dive watches, with the distinctive orange dial. These innovative watches are popular with collectors due to their appearance in Clive Cussler's adventure novels as the watch of choice for action hero Dirk Pitt. The modern Doxa company produces a 'Dirk Pitt' edition of that classic watch. Your watch likely dates to the 1930s, and is in better than average condition. Doxa typically used movements from other manufacturers, finsihing them in their Le Locle factory. I believe that your movement is by Fontainemelon, but there are several similar alternatives.
